Unfiltered Mommy

I am a mother of 2 girls ages 2 yrs and 3 months. I have always had a passion for children and writing so I have decided to combine the two in this blog. After having many conversations with other moms I realized that we are all having similar thoughts and experiences but no one really seems to be talking openly about it. While each day is full of precious moments and smiles, sometimes the goal of the day is to make to bedtime without having a meltdown of my own. Over the past 2 years, I have found that many of us moms suffer in silence rather than expressing our true feelings about this amazing and challenging life experience. This blog has been created as a place where we can speak freely about our daily encounters and experiences raising kids in today’s society. Being armed with a degree in child psychology and having 20+ years of experience working with children from all walks of life influences the way I am raising my daughters but I am learning that there is nothing like raising your own children. Motherhood is proving to be the most amazing and rewarding, yet difficult job of a lifetime. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
